I was in the city of Campbell and paid a short visit to Fine Fretted String Instruments. It's a very small shop run by Randy Osborne. He had some very nice guitars from Spain but I'm not in the market for any.
What was more interesting was his huge assortment of hard-to-find books and sheet music. I left with a copy of Understanding Flamenco which explains each palo and comes with a CD of examples.
I also bought, for $16, Volume 2 of Barrios in Tablature which is rare and out-of-print. Volume 1 is still in print and available from Amazon.com. These two volumes are rated Intermediate to Advanced but I want to have them available for any whim I might have to explore Barrios's music.
